I just got back from Cameroon, so to stay in the same vibe I thought I would share this video of Mallence Bart-Williams talking about African resources and its populations.
I’m a big fan of Serengeti. He’s one of my favorite artists. This is just a glimpse of his range of creativity. I like the mindset of guys like him or Buck 65, always aiming to push forward, trying different things.
This isn’t my favorite song but I had to put him on my list because I like the energy, and it’s still visually pretty interesting to me.
I think Chris Rock was recently divorced at the time and you can feel a sense of bitterness when he talks that’s pretty sad, but he brings some realness and hilarity at the same time.
I love the timing of this whole interview: the awkward moments, the jokes that flop, the pauses, the audience’s reaction…
Because Jin is a really talented friend of mine. I love everything she does; paintings, drawings, videos… I remember talking with her about what she was doing at the time. She told me she was about to release a film in a few days but didn’t say that much about the actual content. I was really surprised and impressed by the film when I saw it. It is so strange and surreal, it made me laugh.
I love Outkast. They are a really innovative duo. I’m impressed by what comes out from two different personalities like these guys. Big Boi and Andre3000 seem to come from two different universes and it creates a unique synergy. Purple grass, a monkey chilling, outfits that match nothing….that’s a great video.
Despite the often controversial points of view of Patrice O’Neal, I think he was a true comedy genius. Tough Crowd was a show hosted by Collin Quinn where a few comedians were invited to comment on topics in the news. I like the back-and-forth between Patrice O’Neal and Pat Cooper, two authentic, energetic and honest comedians.
