Seinabo Sey - Pretend 3 Minutes

Seinabo Sey is one of my favorite artists, her lyrics have depth and her voice and music are just magical. I really wanted to share on of her videos but had a hard time choosing because I like all of the songs so much, in the end I went for this song as it’s one of the songs I frequently listen to when I just need to feel a bit more powerful. The video is also recorded at different locations around my hometown Stockholm.

“Advanced Style” by Lina Plioplyte and Ari Seth Cohen for NOWNESS 2 minutes

I absolutely love Ari Seth Cohen’s blog Advanced Style, featuring some of the most inspiring people out there, people who are not afraid of showing their personality through their clothes and accessories. This is a blog I visit both for inspiration of colour combinations and patterns, but also just to feel a little bit happier and I think this short video nicely showcases the personality of the blog and the people in it. Lina has also done a series of short film interviews with some of the reoccuring women of the blog.

My Place: Cleo Wade 3 minutes

The whole My Place series by Nowness where you get to visit people in their home and hear them talk about their relationship to their space is pretty brilliant and this is one of my favorite ones. I think I like this series as it’s a very nice way to do a portrait of a person because the home surrounding adds so much extra information. I also just really enjoy getting to have a look into creative people’s houses, especially if this is somewhere where they partly work from as well which I think creates a different relationship between the person and the home.

Lena Dunham tries meditation 4 minutes

This just represents how my brain works when I try to meditate (it usually doesn’t last very long).

Louise Bourgeois peels a tangerine 5 minutes

I can’t explain it, it’s just fantastic. I guess that when someone as great as Louise Bourgeois talks for five minutes about peeling a tangerine you just need to see and listen to that.

The Papermaker 5 minutes

This is just a little gift for everyone out there who loves paper.
