Video playlists from the most interesting people in the creative industries. We are the Desert Island Discs of internet video.

Jeremiah Glazer

Jeremiah Glazer runs PS 379, a boutique music & video production studio in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. Having previously been a guitarist in a punk rock band, a philosophy MA graduate, a documentary film editor and the Video Production Manager at Etsy, Jeremiah now works independently producing music and videos for a variety of brands, media outlets and internet properties.

He produces and DJs under the moniker “Sun Ascendant” and is one-half of the retro R&B duo “Great Danger” who recently released their debut EP “Great Danger Is Here”.

Tosha Silver: "Outrageous Openness" | Talks at Google 51 Minutes

Tosha Silver has been an essential spiritual teacher in my life and her book “Outrageous Openness” radically altered the way I live and interact with others. In this video she discusses the ideas behind the book. It’s a great foray into her work and how one can live from a place of Love, Openness, and Surrender.

Interview with James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem 9 Minutes

I love this video interview with James Murphy talking about his life leading up to the release of “Losing My Edge”. Key takeaway: “Just make it. Stop overthinking it”. I think that mantra resonates for any creative.

Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis Lecture 2 hours 36 Minutes

Jam & Lewis are some of my favorite songwriters ever. So many of their songs provided the soundtrack to my childhood. This epic interview covers so many topics and is a real treat to anyone who is a fan of their music and wants to learn about their past and songwriting process (The Time, Prince, Janet Jackson, Michael Jackson, The SOS Band, Cherrelle, Usher, Boyz II Men, Rod Stewart, George Michael, Alexander O’Neal, Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige, Chaka Khan, New Edition, The Human League, Patti LaBelle, the list is endless…).

Jim Carrey: I Needed Color 6 Minutes

Jim Carrey is one of my favorite entertainers and artists, and I loved getting an intimate peek into his mind and creative energy.

Key takeaway: “Art has to be service”.

Stop Making Sense 1 Hour 28 Minutes

Arguably one of the best live concert films ever. I mean, who can argue with David Byrne’s suit jacket?

Michael Jackson - Rock With You 3 Minutes

Oh Michael. Michael, Michael, Michael. No one even comes close. I grew up listening to MJ and if I had to pick a favorite song, this would be it. There are plenty of others (P.Y.T. is a very close second), but I just love this track (and it’s got an official video). The song structure is rock solid, the bridge is even better than the verse (a sureshot way to have a hit song) and there’s a modulation in the last chorus. Can someone make that sequined suit for me?
